Artist Jones has partnered with Alotta Money and DJ Don Diablo to create ETHEREAL, a five–year collection of Ethboy iterations released every six months on NFT platform Async Art. The latest edition celebrates Ethereum co–founder Vitalik Buterin‘s birthday on January 31. Async Art allows creators to make digital art that changes over time and responds to external data and stimuli, such as the price of Ethereum and network gas fees. This one–of–a–kind piece is a unique way to honor Buterin and the Ethereum network.
Introducing EthBoy: A Historic Work of Art and Grail for Collectors
In a press release, Jones announced a new collection of art pieces that will tell the story of Ethereum co–founder Vitalik Buterin‘s life. The collection, called EthBoy, is a collaborative project that has been in the works for the past five years. Jones partnered with artist Alotta Money to create the first edition of EthBoy in 2020, which sold for 260 ETH, worth $141,536 at the time. The goal of the collection is to create a narrative tapestry of Buterin‘s life, and many in the Web3 community believe it will become a historic work of art and a grail for the 10 collectors and partners involved. With the launch of EthBoy, Jones and Money are bringing the story of Buterin to life in a unique and meaningful way.
